Madrasah Wak Tanjong
Al-Islamiah
About
Madrasah Wak Tanjong was first known as Madrasah Ad-Diniyyah Al-Islamiah back in 1958 in the house of Almarhum Ustaz Mohd Noor Taib in Paya Lebar. The Madrasah then shifted to a school premise at 589 Sims Avenue in 1959. It was renamed to Madrasah Wak Tanjong Al-Islamiah in 1968 and was reconstructed and officially reopened in 1994.
The Madrasah offers co-education at primary, secondary and pre-university level in Singapore. Their mission is to holistically nurture learners with a strong conviction of Islam that is relevant to the needs of the community.
In 2018, Madrasah Wak Tanjong received the Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP) from the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) to strengthen the madrasah’s governance and enhance teachers’ professional development and students’ learning.
“Assalamualaikum, our hope is that Madrasah Wak Tanjong will stay true to its vision and mission to build a community of progressive learners who not only uphold Islamic values but are also able to contribute to our country’s nation-building and success, In Shaa Allah.
We rely on the continuous support of our teachers, parents and the Muslim community of Singapore. We value all the support that we have received from the Singapore Muslim community. May Allah swt bless you and your family and grant you shade and ease in the Hereafter.”
